Went to the cinema yesterday to watch Skyfall, really enjoyed it and the best bond since early Sean Connery for me but I divulge. If anybody else has read any of Lee's "Jack Reacher" books you'll know this guy is a big, 6'5" 50" chest around 210-250lbs.

So who have they got to act the role?

F**king Tom Cruise!!!!! I mean really? This guy is what 5'8" in Cuban heels?

Perhaps Warwick Davis was already booked in for panto season?

The closest at a push should be somebody like Liam Neeson.

I for one will not waste my money on watching tiny Tom mess this character up :evil:

it is crazy but it has made Mr Child a wealthier man and brought Reacher to the screen, so i reckon that he is happy with the decision and it is his baby.

i agree though, i will not be going to see it in the cinema

Apparently the theory is if you can't find an actor that that's fits the bill exactly then you have to go for the extreme opposite for it to work. It was something like that anyway, I read something about it a while ago when I found out.
 
They are class books and Reacher is a proper no nonsense fella and then Cruise comes along and ruins it.

I won't be going to watch it.
