Simple question just to see if any exist on here, I'm getting back into it after 10 odd years out of them, spent the afternoon training in the workshop not lost any of my SRT skills :)

Had to think what spelucking was then I remembered that their was a Society of Speleological Artists for people who paint in caves :wha: :wha: . The ISSA.

I have not been caving for over twenty years since I was at Liverpool university. The caving club was a very social club which meet in I think The Oxford "after training". What I remember was that the oxford despite being next to the main police station by the university had lock ins until 2am, and served a rather good pint of Boddingtons (this was the late 1980's). The other draw was a very attractive first year biology student had joined.

I remember being stuck in a cavern in Ingleton with no light and a rather large girl having a panic attack in front of me in the 'cheese press'. I had no way out unless she got through :hmm: :hmm: . Some how I didn't go caving after that, I mainly went to the "social" events.

Good luck with your latest escapade.

Ex spelunker here

And Alistair . . . There is an alternative route round the Cheese press . . . Nowhere near as tight too . . . Was always fun getting a group of people to start through the Cheese Press and then run round the other side and encourage them on from the exit

Did it once when on an outward bound week with the school, and guess what the fat kid got stuck. Enjoyed the experience but was tempted to take it up.

Getting around Morrisons or ASDA on a Saturday afternoon is enough for me!

I almost got stuck for good by the onions this weekend
