I used to follow Halifax everywhere but once summer rugby started and they left Thrum Hall for the Shay i lost interest
For some reason it just didnt seem "right"

Just an armchair fan nowadays (when i remember its on)

Good ground was Thrum Hall. I only went twice. Was it in the centre of the town next to the bus station or am i getting mixed up with another ground as i use to go to a fare few in the 70s and 80s.
See what you mean about summer rugby the sport did loose a lot of the traditionalist But i must admit i have been going since the early 70s and i now much prefer actualy coming home from a game be it on a Sunday or a night game and be able to feel my feet. In the winter era it use to take a few hours for my whole body to thaw out :)

They have a lot of home grown talent tbh foster lomax roby can't wait to go to the new ground looks nice hopefully we can go more next season now swmbo has new job working monday to Friday

Saints fan here too. Used to go and watch them with my cousin regularly but kids, mountain biking and AFC Telford Utd take up all my spare time now!

I think you're getting it mixed up with somewhere else
Thrum Hall, like most traditional RL grounds, was in the middle of a housing estate
sadly it is now an Asda

Thanks denwil. Yeh must be thinking of somewhere else then :hmm: Now which ground was or is it
Sadly the old craven park went the same way it's now Morrisons :(
