Hello,

I am thinking of taking the plunge and buying a 50L Braumeister, does anyone know if the standard Dutch plug socket can handle the 16A requirement?

Cheers
Paddy

I think so, It looks like the sockets in my kitchen can deliver 16A but many of the others in my house could be either 10 or 16 looking at the link you sent me.

Thanks.

Hello,

in case anyone stumbles across this thread in the future I managed to get hold of a qualified electrician at work today, he said dutch sockets usually have a 16A fuse and can run the BM50 so long as nothing else on the ring is pulling much power. He also said most houses have a dedicated 16A feed for the washing machine which can deliver 4000w.

Two suppliers in the NL have also told me the BM50 will run ok on a normal dutch plug.

Cheers
Paddy
