Any body received one of these or is it a scam

I have to say that I think that paying for favourable reviews on Amazon and similar (which is what this is) is not a particularly ethical way of doing business as far as I'm concerned. Many folks like me read the reviews before we buy stuff and if someone writes a glowing report on a piece of junk because they have been paid to do so, and on the strength of that someone else buys said piece of junk and finds out that it is a piece of junk they can get lumbered with it. I'm not saying that Inkbird stuff is junk (and I speak from personal experience of using their stuff) just that, in my view, they should not be buying reviews by dangling free controllers at forum members, whether they are sponsors or not.

Loads of companies do this. Ask you to buy, to be a verified purchase for a review.
Other sponsors on here give items away for reviews on their site.

I am aware that 'loads of companies' do it. But that still doesn't make it right.
I've been offered stuff in the past and have ignored it. Some would say more fool you I suppose.
But I do have the gumption, or so I like to believe, to be able to filter out some of the crap that folks write about stuff on interweb both good and bad, so that I have a reasonable chance of not buying something that is a piece of junk. Sadly others, for whatever reason. may not be as well placed as me to do that.

From the initial post it doesn't say you have to write a positive review, just a review. I've seen a few videos on the 308 and it looks like an already assembled ITC-1000 but being able to set separate hysteresis for the heating and cooling which I think is great... and you can set it to fahrenheit so might be useful for old people or Americans, I should have just said "the feeble minded" and saves myself some keystrokes there and I'm known for my word scrimpage.

If I'm an 'old person' (as I am ) who has used *C (amongst other metric units of measurements) for at least 50 years how do I fit into your classification? That aside beware those who talk on here of psi (when they really mean psig) and who measure their weight in stones and lbs, feeble mindedness may beckon early, unless of course they are a Yank, sorry American, as they have already attained that lowly position, and can never escape unless they change their nationality (Trump as a Mexican anyone)

You sound like the Michael Hesaltine of your day. I love him. He is even more rampant than Steven Fry for gobbling up technology. I just get annoyed at people that fumble around technology. This might all be a strike back at my mum asking me day after day how to change from "telly to iplayder" day after day for 3 years. It's one button. The button I stuck a label on. The same button that it's been for three years. The one you lift your glasses up to look at before pressing, not accepting there's a lag, then pressing again to toggle it from scart to hdmi then back again then saying it's not working. 9 hours a month I spend on the telephone showing my mum how to watch Strictly Come Dancing.

I've a right to be dead inside. You don't know how hard it is to feel this way.

It's OK to feel frustrated with your Mum but be understanding with her. She's the only one you will ever have. I'm sure she has other talents. Well, she brought you into the world for one, and then I presume she nurtured and developed you into most of what you are today, err, warts and all.
