hi onefor the road, can i ask how you secured the mashmaster to the thermopot as im having real problems getting a watertight seal. when i tighten the back nut, the front of the thermopot sort of caves in a bit so am unable to tighten properly. would love to know what fittings you used for this and where to get them from, heres hoping, cheers ken.

Nothing compared to my set-up

Plastic DIY boiler
H & G Mash tun
Plastic DIY HLT...............

Holy **** that is a set up everybody could aspire to

I have given Dave a kick to come and respond to your questions, as He doesn't come on very often :thumb:

If it helps.... had the same problem when I fixed my Mashmaster to my HLT. I ended up buying some JB Weld on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JB-WELD-WORLD...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cadff34a0and fixed it using that.

It did the job for me..No more leaks :thumb:

I bought some JB Weld off jbweld.co.uk, it cost me way more than fleabay, I had to email them to get them to send it and it arrived in normal envelopes, so they were ripped. If they sent the gear out with as much care and speed as they take in relieving you of your money via pay pal, they'd be great  it fixed my leak too :thumb:

Anyway regarding the thermopot question my answer is: If you can't do it get some one who can! No sorry I didn't mean that but i did get my bro to drill my holes for me for the thermopot, I know it was cheating but he drilled a hole in the the outer skin first with what looks to be like around 60mm, cut out the insulation out and fixed the thermometer, nut and seal to the inner skin. Hope this helps! :?
