I'm not going to pretend to be an expert in intelligence (though I have read all the Tom Clancy books...!) but if a suspect is under surveillance it's not necessarily the best thing to bring them in, if they don't know they are being watched then they can lead the security services to bigger targets. I think the fact that recent attacks have been carried out by people who've been on surveillance lists but then removed speaks to a lack of resources for the security services.

Where is the massive wave of revulsion from the Muslim community? Why aren't they marching on hate Mosques demanding their closure? Unfortunately the whole religion is complicit. Just like when I was young I hated the Catholics because I was told to hate them. Hate breeds hate imo.

I understand why Moslem's don't speak out, it's them against us.

As a post above say's that I totally agree with, single faith schools are part of the problem. It drove me to hate as a youth which I'm still guilty at times but which I'd like to think I've got over mostly. I've found reasoning and arguing a point is much mightier than any sword tho but Islam doesn't seem to have a case I can argue with.

Perhaps more spending may help,but taking out one or two cell's isn't going to solve the problem.These people are capable of working in close knit groups,indipendent of others and working basically alone.Always another to take the place of one that is caught.I also don't subscribe to the thought's of some that there must be a major nucleus of higher up the ladder nutters ,giving out orders to others.
These people are brainwashed at school and at mosque along with some whom are probably brainwashed and sheltered by family as well.
Close down all single faith schools and take out religious instruction for starters.

I don't know what TV s some of you watch but I've seen loads of Muslims speaking out against this today as I have over recent weeks.

Similarly I am sure that there would have been Muslim's taking the injured to hospital ... Muslims trying to mend the broken bodies ... and Muslims in the security services trying to stop the loonies in the 1st place.

Let's demonize the nutters that do , incite and abet these crimes against humanity not the peaceful followers of a peaceful religion.

And I agree there should be no single faith schools of any religious persuasion!

I also disagree with this although you do have some valid points.

Islamic terrorism comes from within, there is no structure to the organisation. You don't infiltrate a cell when it's just one brainwashed nutter.

I can only go by my own experiences in NI but hate breeds hate. I was complicit by not speaking out yet I knew the terrorists who lived close by as did we all. We knew who they were, maybe not what they done but did we speak out? I'm sure the same was on the Nationalist side.

Speaking out would be a big step from ordinary Islamic worshippers, I'd love to see them march onto hate Mosques but I can't see it for the reasons I mentioned. Then again if I spoke out or touted I'd probably get my windows put in, if an Islamic worshipper speaks out he fears death like the poor Muslim that sent a XMas card to his Christian friends in Glasgow.

I generally steer clear of threads like like but sometimes my blood boils so much and maybe a brewing forum is not the place for it. I will always be reasoned and respect other views though.

Well said MrDasherD, they want us to tar all Muslims with the same brush and you only have to read threads like this to see its working to a certain degree, i have seen Muslims condemn what they are doing i just wish they got more column inches in the papers but that won't sell papers will it. :wink:
