Spoke with the student who works with us today, (from Pakistan who works for us I mentioned it in the other thread)
Although, I have to be honest I was a little surprised by what he has to say on the subject as a whole.. He obviously finds the attacks appalling don't get me wrong, but I get the strong feeling he sort of sympathies with some the negative view of the west they hold.
ISIS and the like are daily problems in Pakistan. His Aunt was caught in an attack few months back, He does feel though that a lot of what causes the likes of ISIS is caused by countries like USA.. He never actually said UK but I am left wondering whether he deep down feels that way??? Not saying all feel that way but just food for thought really..
Obviously outside of these discussions he is perfectly normal and decent lad like you would expect him to be.

Timeless? Hardly ... it only started sometime (and quite a long time I think) after a specific religion was imported from the Middle East!
Part of our culture? Part of yours maybe but what about the family in the next street?
Belong here? Why?
I have neither religion but am more than happy for each to call followers to prayer in their own way and proud to be part of a country which tolerates both and many others.

I live within ear shot of a church and although bell ringing doesn't annoy me it probably would if i lived closer, i imagine the call to prayer in the video is no louder than the bells so i would feel the same about the noise level (not the message) if i lived close to it.
Do they need permission to do this as i imagine if i walked down a street in my town singing down a megaphone i am sure the police would be having a word even if i had a good voice. :lol:

One of the three terrorists who were shot dead during an attack at London Bridge was a pastry chef of Moroccan origin who carried an Irish ID card, according to reports.
The man, who has not yet been named, moved to Dublin about five years ago after marrying a Scottish woman, the Daily Mail reported.
British police discovered the Irish identity card on his body, Irish state broadcaster RTE reported. He had not been on the authoritiesââ¬â¢ radar as a terrorist.
The couple may have moved to London a few months ago after living in the Rathmines area of Dublin, the Daily Mail reported.
The man is believed to have had ties to the dozen suspects arrested in a police sweep in Barking after the attack in the British capital late Saturday.
The head of the Irish police planned to hold a special meeting of security and intelligence officers in Dublin on Monday morning, RTE reported.
An Irish police spokesman said the force was providing assistance to colleagues in Londonââ¬â¢s Metropolitan Police.
ââ¬ÅWe will process all requests from the UK authorities in relation to inquiries into individuals, identities or any other matter,ââ¬Â the spokesman said, the UKââ¬â¢s Telegraph reported.
Gardai are investigating whether the ID card belonged to the dead man and if the documents are authentic, the paper reported.
The plastic credit card-sized ID is given to people from outside the European Union, the Telegraph reported.
It was not known whether the man had been given paperwork after arriving in Ireland to claim asylum or if he had an ID card issued under EU treaties, which allowed him to live in Ireland.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday that police know the identities of the three attackers. The names have not been released yet.
Meanwhile, 36 people are still being treated at five hospitals after the Saturday night attack, which killed seven people. Of those, 18 are in critical condition, according to the National Health Service.

Good friends with a brilliant Sikh lad. He's been called paki, infidel, mustaffa w*nk, wog, islam, muslin, ********* (he doesn't wear a turban), and terrorist.

So the soothing bells of good old christians are acceptable ( as long as they can trace their lineage back to the anglo saxons) but anyone else's foreign religion is a cacophony and has no place in our fair land or reason and tolerance?
This has to be Al Murray trying to wind me up surely, let me know it is and I will laugh ironically!
I am , as mentioned previously on the thread which got shut down. A wonderful,kind,intelligent,funny and thoughtful guy who put everyone before himself. But his heart did not belong here and he has now gone home. I don't have a problem with any race or religion but this mixing is no good for anyone. Cats and dogs generally don't get along except for the odd one or two. It's not malice, it's nature.

I agree with you, If I was in the snug of my local pub and I came across such intolerant views of other cultures and religions I would walk out leaving the people to their own prejudices.
It's not malice at these ideas just basic fairness and tolerance, common sense and prejudice do not belong together!
How can you say "I don't have a problem with any race or religion" then compare British and Muslim people to Cats and dogs, if that's you posting when you don't have a problem i would hate to see what you could come up with if you did.

I mean the differences are too great to overcome, as is becoming all too clear. No offence intended to either.
