Sat in the crowd at Wimbledon working out her earnings... nar I wont miss it either....

That will be the last world tennis no.1 we have in our lifetime. asad. It's not good when chronic pain gets in the way of life. When my back stops me from brewing that will be a sad day....

She forced him to play tennis. Fair enough he wasn't bad at it but he's payed a dear price...he's knackered.
Wonder if he'll do all the things he missed out on as a kid now like climbing trees, catching frogs, fishing, scrumping, jumping in the river...

My chronic pain and fatigue doesn't stop me from having to go to work, unfortunately. And not having a number 1 at tennis, or anything else for that matter, does not improve my lot in life one little bit. Honest, I don't think I'd notice....

Nope.

Was Tim Henman's dad famous for anything other than looking like an old Tim Henman?
Is Lewis Hamilton's dad famous for being anything other than Lewis Hamilton's dad?

Was she famous for anything other than being his mam?

Did either of the above appear on T.V on a prime time Saturday night show even though she apparently isn't famous for being anything other than his mam? (the reason i asked the original question)

She even manages to make it into the BBC's article about him today -

I support any Mum who encourages her children to do any sport.

Andy Murray was lucky in that Wimbledon and other tennis venues have rules about crowd behaviour!

As a lad I used to do a lot of competition swimming and even with my ears underwater, I could still hear my Mum screaming me on to better things!

Happy Days? Probably!

A fair bit of bitterness towards the man and his ma,

Its not about Andy for me i just find him mother irritating.

Yep, I suspect if he was English we'd see a lot of people on here mourning the end of the career of possibly the greatest British sportsman we'll see in our lifetime.

Due to my mam having Wimbledon on for a full fortnight every year back in the day when everyone only had one TV and no mobile devices i have zero interest in tennis and couldn't giver a flying **** where Andy is from having said that he did himself no favours when he made the supposed joke below are you surprised he annoyed a lot of English tennis fans .

The partisan put-down was Andy Murray's attempt at a verbal smash. But joking that he would "support whoever England were playing against" was one shot the teenage tennis star would live to regret. He admitted last week that it had cost him the support of some English fans.

The defensive jibe, teased out of him during a joint interview with Tim Henman in 2006, turned Wimbledon crowds hostile just when the young player from Dunblane most needed their backing.
