So we can't now comment on foreign people or the opposite sex? :wha:
who said that?
Not on here.......... just a general observation of how things are in the country now regarding tongue in-cheek comments and remarks.

I think you have to face it, what those two said was plainly wrong. No getting away from that.

Seems to me - and this much has already been mentioned here, that it is just too bloody easy for the ***** press in this country to stir up the 'great british public' into a frenzy which demands blood.

Judge, jury and (public) execution. There is little that differentiates this situation from that of burning witches!

Once again the media proves itself to be all too powerful - and this time it turns on itself with no damage - just an opportunity to make itself look good in the public eye.

I've used the work 'public' three times here, four now. Hmmmm ....

Why are people assuming he got sacked for his sexist remarks???. It is possible he could have been sacked for not knowing enough about football. His comments were directed at an official who he believed had made the wrong decision. Turned out he was wrong and the official was right it was offside :thumb: .

Didn't he/they make the comments before the game began?

(From the BBC News site:)
The duo suggested Massey and other female referees "did not know the offside rule" in the build-up to Saturday's contest between Wolves and Liverpool.

Proves my point. Turned out a woman knew more about the offside rule than Andy Gray

Just in case there are any female members who do not understand the offside rule and are wondering what all the fuss is about I will try to explain it in a totally female friendly way so here goes.

Offside rule for girls :

You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till.
Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The 'opposing' female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire.
Both of you have forgotten your purses.

It would be totally rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes. The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.

Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you. If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes. At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and, *whilst it is in flight* you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes.

Always remembering that until the purse has *actually been thrown* it would be plain wrong to be forward of the other shopper.
