Evening all,
I’m planning my next beer, I usually use an airlock and plastic buckets but I’m using some new kit and yeast I haven’t used before this time around and wonder if a blow-off tube would be better.
Brew is a RIS at the mid-lower end of the OG range for the profile. Yeast is Nottingham and FV is an SS 7gal brewbucket which I’ve not used before. Brewing a 23l batch so not much headroom in FV. I have the blow off fittings for the FV.
Is it likely to be frisky enough to need the blow off tube? Cheers!

I use both.......at the same time......although I do collect the CO2 as well in a balloon. But, I now have a blow off tube from the FV connected to a plastic jar (to collect any overflow) and from the plastic jar I have a bubbler so covers all eventualities.
