So, opening the question out a bit, would most of you who brew AG generally consider your own brewed beer to be of superior quality/taste to commercial real ale then?
I don't ask that in a sceptical way - I just want to know what to expect when i start AG brewing after Christmas!
If it helps, I dry cure my ownstreaky bacon at home (it's ridiculously easy!) and it tastes way, way better than anything you can buy in the supermarket and probably all but the best quality drycure bacon in the butchers, and at a much lower cost. if I can get that with beer, I'll be well happy!
