I am going to build a ag set up in the near future (very near) and I want to build a real scrap heap challange job loli want it to be a 100% beg, borowed or stolen effort lol it will make my beer taste that much better being 100% homemade lol right would a old tea urn do as a boiler?

Yes i have a old burco tea urn which i used as a boiler, all you need to do is disconect the therostat and your away. Just remember that if you aiming for a 23 - 25ltr brew length then you will need a a 30ltr boiler.
Here is a picture of my Burco. Altho since upgrading to a 10gal boiler all i use it for now is a HLT. Alth once i get a FB made up it will be used as a MT.

Depending on the size, a tea urn will be great for a boiler, as long as it will produce a rolling boil.

What sort is it, what size. Do you have any pictures of it. We do love brewporn on the forum.

Cool beans that sound easy enough, is will have a tap on the bottom to :-) I wernt sure if it would get hot enough but as u said disconect the statt lol job done well that's one stage sorted. I have not got one yet but I am sure it will be dead easy to get my grubby mits on one wooooo getting excited

The best thing you can do if you do get a burco is to replace the tap that comes with it. See picture below, all you need is a tank connector and a ball valve, total cost about £8.

Hahahaha yessss I love it that's exactly what I wanna build it looks wicked mate! I have to squeeze that lot in to my shed somehow lol
