AG# not sure of this fermentation....

I wrote in a previous thread about my worries for this brew, i used safale04 and just sprinkled it onto the foam, never stirred it..there was quite a lot of foam, it went off like a rocket for a good 4/5 days then gradually slowed..i was concerned about the floaties, looked like congealed foam and yeast..it seemed to have stopped at 1016 so i have transferred it to a secondary FV but the floaties and gunk never settled and the yeast at the bottom looks..well..ill ? like diaorhea..not used safeale04 before so not sure if this is normal for that yeast..im used to a thick settled yeast on the bottom from previous brews...i have made a grainy film of it..what do you think ?..i wouldnt say it smells off..but doesnt smell very beery if you know what i mean.

How does it taste? Yeast can look pretty foul at times. As long as it tastes and smells normal, I wouldn't worry.
