So called because it's got 3 20g hop additions.

All to plan so far. I'm posting on bottling day so I can get some decent pictures and a bit o' taste. It's an ipa with a big aroma and not much else - aroma hops would total 100g in a 5 gallon batch

Efficiency came out at 68% which was good considering my grain bag had mould growing on it, so I decided on a sparge-in-the-collinder method instead. Not bad considering! 1.046 OG and 1.011 FG leaving it at 4.6%

A little under ABV for an IPA, and less colour than it denotes too, but I wanted to try using just pale malt to see if my additives (wheat, carapils) are helping at all, and I'm pretty limited (well, not as of today as I've just bought a new boiler, but that doesn't help this batch.)

On first taste, it's sorta floral and sweet, but not much bitterness in the hops due to the clean bittering of the mt. hood. Hoping age does some good for it as it's a little watery as it stands! Maybe I could use it to convert my wussy ass friends to IPA...

:thumb: . I'd say 68% is not a bad efficiency for BIAB. I get about the same and I'm batch sparging as my base malt has the same crush the commercial breweries use.

that's with top up (or panic sparging, as I like to call it) as well, so i'm pretty happy with the figures. usually hitting well over 70, sometimes towards 80 with patience!

Welp, drinking one now. Decent. Needs more hops.

Next time - NS and Cascade EVERYWHERE. No clean bittering hop. Tastes more like a Purity Pure Gold than a Stone Ruination.
