So this is the first brew on the new kit! Recipe is here with pictures to follow

57L brew length

10kg Maris Otter
90 min mash

60min boil
60g Centennial @ 60 mins
25g Cascade @ 10 mins.

Really simple recipe and it smells great already!

Nice volume :) And love the look of the plate chiller.

First time using the plate chiller. It's so much better than an immersion coil. Once you've got the flow right it's easy!

I made this a few weeks ago. A lovely pint and definitely one I'll repeat. I only used cascade though. :-)

Have you tried it along side the original? Is it similar? Mine smells exactly like GP!

Afraid not. I got hooked on GP when I was in the Lake District earlier in the year. I've not seen it sold around where I live in Surrey.

Ah, we have it in most shops around here but then again the brewery is only 20 miles away!
