Hi

Brought a couple of extract kits from home brew shop i think they cost £5 plus malt. Ive got the malt unless i would have brought them from brewuk. Anyway i have tried a couple from brew uk and these say boil about 6 litres of water and i thought these were the same but instructions say 26 litres but my pan is far too small. Could i just do these using the brewuk method or would i need to alter things.

Cheers steve

Hi in short yes but if the recipe is to boil all of liquid with hops then boiling less liquid with hops means when you top up with water it will dilute the hop power etc so you need to use more hops than original recipe to get the right amount of bitterness , roughly half again each stage of hop
