Advice on containers for fv.

I've been given an empty gravy granule containing from the local chippy which I was going to use a fv, the number on the bottom is 4 will this be strong enough to use.

If it's a bulk container, and has been used for food stuff, should be ok.
Not sure of the gravy granule aroma, might take a while to get rid of.

I guess if you're unsure then fill it with water and see how it stands up to that. I wouldnt imagine you having any problems... apart from maybe the smell. Beef Brown Ale?

To be honest a quick swill of water and it didn't seem to smell gonna fill it with hot soapy water away times just to be on the safe side, don't really want my wine smelling of gravy. Lol :)
