How did that happen?
don’t know. The mash is also quite dark, so maybe they put dark crystal Instead of medium Crystal. The RO water itself was about 6.5ph.
also didn’t have any baking powder so left that out.
How did that happen?
Looking at your additions for RO water what jumps out is 8 g gypsum! 4 g Epsom salt! You don't need Epsom salt, the grain will provide your magnesium content. 2.5 g of chloride I would have matched with gypsum so 2.5 g of gypsum and 3 g of acid 10% phosphoric or lactic acid. Depending on the amount of crystal, which I presume wouldn't have been much that should have got you in the ball park. Baking soda you wouldn't need.Ended up with a mash ph of 4.85. Too late to fix it but at least I know for next time to but back on additions.
