Morning all,

I'm new to this brewing business, although I did have a bash at it years and years ago.

Could somebody point me in the right direction? I'm looking to make a red wine, nothing complicated, and ideally would need recipe/instructions. I have noticed a couple on here particularly the 'Ribena' wine which sounds interesting. I want something easy to start with so that I get a drinkable product at the end (which hopefully will give me the encouragement to move on to other brews.)

I have tried searching for an idiots guide :wha: but can't seem to find one!

Thanks in advance!

John

I'd recommend trying a fruit tea wine.... viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2291

The Blackcurrant, Ginseng & Vanilla one's by Twinnings come out bloody lovely! Very simple and pretty quick too! :D

I've used those in a Moley's recipe for teabag and juice wine, racked one off earlier and it has kept the aroma of blackcurrant and promises a nice colour.

Start another batch now, it goes down very quickly! ;)

The Twinings Blackberry and Nettle makes a nice light, fruity red as well.I used red Bordeaux yeast with it.

Oh goody  I started another 4 different gallons yesterday so I'm back up to 6 fermenting! I think these will be great while building up a stock of country wines.
