Advent calendars

Anyone lucky enough to have got a beer advent calendar this year ?
I just got the beer 52 one handed to me from the daughter and her boyfriend.
Is it a good idea to review the beers on a separate thread to the “what are you drinking tonight “ thread in case someone dosnt get the chance to open theirs on a nightly basis and we spoil the surprise ?

I opened the section where the glass is in anticipation of the first beer tomorrow night.
I also taped the box shut so I can’t take a peek

I haven't but having received large orders from trembling madness, Pollys and Vault City, I may select 24 and get the kids to place numbers over the windows

I had been squirrelling away beers for the past few weeks to do the same. I even had a box to put them in. This saved me the bother and left me with a fridge full of decent beers to get through.
Challenge now is getting away with drinking beer every night for the next 24

That's my problem. Only drink on a Friday and Saturday and like to have a couple of my own at same time

Same. But it’s only 1 beer and it was bought to me and presented with a smile so I’m going to give it my best shot.

Very nice. Mrs DD2 has got me one of the Trembling Madness advent calendars the last few years. Absolutely love it. Dog likes sticking his snout through the window each morning too.

Snap, at least we’re both managing to get the same beer, it’s not as easy to do as you would think. It’s a very thin porter…

Nice coffee taste off it though. Wasn’t expecting much when I seen it was a Spanish one but wasn’t disappointed at all

There are some excellent Spanish breweries out there. Soma, Basqueland and Garage spring to mind.

I got mine from a local beer shop that does great beers, quite costly but so far the selction has been great including a London Docks export porter from Mad squirrel and a NEIPA from Glouster Brewery - not drinking them until the weekend so building up a binge....

Pretty sure you have to drink them on the right day! Sounds like they are good though.
