stesmi Regular. Joined Dec 16, 2012 Messages 255 Reaction score 63 Location Newcastle Mar 21, 2015 #2 Personally I'd boil them for a few minutes to get rid any undesirables, then add during fermentation. You can probably just chuck them in without boiling, but better safe than sorry. Good luck
