Adding addition to kegged beer

Hi all
I brewed an irish stout which on it's own is pretty good but I feel it could be better I was looking at adding some vanilla.
The question I have is the stout has been in the keg for over a month is it still ok to add the vanilla pods or is it to late.

At the risk of opening up I'd leave it myself, but you'll probably be ok adding to it and topping up the CO2 straight after.
