Looks like the integrity of the worktop is safe.

I didn't mention that the CO2 cylinder is on loan from a Hostelry, and as such will be replaced with another full one when empty.

The pictures in those PDFs are from licensed premises. And theoretically, yes they probably are. But we're probably talking a 1 in a million chance.

I suppose if you use a reputable supplier then the risks are minimal, but I still don't want one in my house.

Store it in next-door's house Preferably away from any shared walls.

You hear far more about consumer gas explosions than you do about CO2 bottle failure.
Sort of puts it into perspective a little bit, I'm not going all electric! :nono:
