Last year my friends bought me a brewing kit with a 3kg kit. This was around the time I went on a diet and was a little bit worried about having a keg in the kitchen with beer on tap. As such it remained unused until the beginning of December.
As such I think I managed to make every mistake possible, I believed the short ferment recommendations on the kit, followed some of the recommendations of the equipment kit and some of the brewing kit. Basically, I ended up with something that was flat and tasted like you'd expect if the yeast didn't work since there was no evidence of fermentation.
Anyway, undeterred by this failure, I thought some success was in order. I decided to get as much brewing as possible. I decided to plunge myself so fully into this obsession that even if the interest wanes in a couple of months, I'll have more than my weight in booze to convince me otherwise.
I think the thing that most excites me is some of the completely deranged wines that can be made, in addition to seeing bubbling airlocks.

I've had to misspell some words and over-abbreviate as the original version this was too "spamy", it contained too many words it can't recognize, oh and insists on American spellings!
