Hi all, I have been brewing now for 6 months and have had success with both kits and simple recipes using foraged items from Nature's Larder.
I am planning some Christmas beers and as well as my own recipes I was hoping to enhance a kit (probably caxton real ale) with a few Christmas-esque ingredients; cinnamon, ginger cloves etc. I am planning to get these into the mix by boiling them in the first 6 pints of water required for the brew. Anybody tried this before? Any tips? or is the whole idea of adding to a kit ridiculous?
best regards
