Just watched the Lovebrewing Videos, and on one Richard says with the dearer kits you are better to keep them a while before drinking.
he then says if you are wanting a wine that you can drink soon, you would be better with one of the cheaper kits.
Can anyone recomened a decent white wine kit 30 bottles, that is drinkable quite quickly.
As i would wish to store my Beaverdale barolo.

Some people prefer adding apple juice instead of orange in the Wurzels Orange wine (WOW)

I now add 2 litres of the main juice and 1 litre of white grape juice (WGJ) for a stronger taste.

There are a lot of WOW recipes in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=41&t=39846

Do you have a nice wine adding two orange juice and one white grape juice?
does it turn out like a rose,
Anyone know what two apple and one white grape juice would be like,
if adding three juices, how much sugar would you add?

First time around, try the original recipe as it stands, then you can start playing with variations to see how they compare or what you like best.

Abbreviations commonly used on here are WGJ and RGJ for white and red grape juices, OJ and AJ for orange and apple.

WGJ + OJ produces a fruity white wine, but it doesn't particularly taste of oranges. Adding a 2nd OJ probably would give an orangey tasting wine, certainly if you added the 2nd carton after a few days when fermentation has quietened down.

WGJ + AJ is best suited to a dry wine, it comes out crisp and fairly neutral.

If you want a rose, try RGJ + cranberry.

I usually aim for an Original Gravity around 1.090 which requires 250g sugar in the litre, so in a gallon you would need 1125g sugar or 1250g in a 5 litre brew.

Whatever carton juices you decide on, their sugar contents are printed on the sides of the boxes, so work backwards from that total.

been to every supermarket in my town, not one sells White Grape juice,
i can get Welches White Grape and pear and Apple.
Welches White Grape and Raspberry.
and plenty of Red Grape juice.
could I use the first two instead of White Grape juice?
I have the Orange juice.

Sainsbury's and Lidl usually only have red. Tesco, Morrison's, Aldi and Asda should have both, I don't know about the Co-op.

Try RGJ + Orange, that makes a pale rosé but it tastes just like the white.

The Welch's grape juice drinks don't have a high enough grape content.

i did a RGJ(3L) and AJ(2L) very nice a bottles dont last long great chilled or room temp , looks like a rose but has more body
