Just go for a turbo cider, there are plenty of threads on here and videos on youtube about it. I did a John Bull Cider kit as my 1st home brew and it was fine but the turbo I did after it was better.

You are better off making a turbo Cider from supermarket apple Juice.

Very simple

You will need for 4.5L (1 Gallon)

4.5L of apple juice 100% from concentrate any of the supermarket own brands will do as long as it is 100% apple juice.
1 tsp of malic acid (available from local Homebrew shop or online here)
1 tsp of grape tannin (available from local Homebrew shop or online here)
1 tsp of pectolase (available from local Homebrew shop or online here)

I packet of cider yeast or champagne yeast.

Basically all you need to do is sterilise a DJ add the ingredients and leave it under airlock at 19-21c . Once it has finished transfere into a clean DJ and leave it for a few months. That is the really important bit as it will develope its flavour, you can get quite a good scrumpy style cider.

If it is too dry you can sweeten with artificial sweetener a bottle. Don't sweeten with sugar if you want to bottle it fizzy.
