Started my pilsner kit- fermenting nicely
Got a Turbo Cider on-calmed down a little now
An Apple and WGJ wine- yet to start but an SG of 1115 and champagne yeast could be good!
A kit white wine- the jury is out on this one..

Didnt have time to clean my 45 pint bottles, they'll have to wait!

Also managed to get a flat tyre, and i cant shift the wheel, i'll pump the barsteward up in the morning, that'll wake the neighbours.

Also got a bottle of 'Hot Cross Ale' from Morrisons.
Swbo caught me reading a bottle, she said "just buy it if you want to try one!" i thought that was very nice of her. It was only when we got to the checkout i realised that I WAS PAYING!!

I also got a cheap gel seat for my pushbike - gotta lose some bulk!! It was only £7.99 from LIdl.

Me and SWMBO also had an interesting conversation in LIDL....

Me: 85p per bottle for pear cider, thats not too expensive!
SWMBO: How much does your cider you make cost?
Me: Not as much as that... but i could use the bottles when i start making real beer...
SWMBO: And make even more mess everywhere..
Me: Oh look darling those chocolates you like.....

And in the trolley went a case.

Good to see you had a productive weekend CC. :thumb:

Cider is made from APPLE'S. PERRY is made from PEARS.

Actually thats not quite right, perry is only every made with "Perry Pears" of which are few and far between nowadays, all other fermented product from Pears is pear cider or pear wine, or poire williams etc

I picked one up, read the label and put it down again.
Seems it could have been a good decision.

Captain: Check your Morrison's for Kingstone Press cider. I think it's 5-6% abv, £1.00 for 660ml, not a bad drink, comes in great bottles and the labels fall off in warm water. I use them for Wurzels. Well crown caps are cheaper than corks.

I didnt find the cider that bad. not the best i've had of late.

The Hot Cross Ale however........

I imagine if you poured a glass of beer and then stuck a couple of sherriesin it, you have hot cross ale. Not to my taste at all!!

I dont go to Morrisons that often, its a good 15-20 miles, but it is on a retail park with focus, lidl argos and brantano, so i can get lots of things done in one go!!
