A brew for my old dad.

My dad complained that i never shared my beer with him so i agreed to make him 40 bottles of whatever he wanted, which was.......
"a decent bitter".
Does anyone have a tried and tested middle of the road recipe that they would like to share with me and my dad?

6 ½ lb crushed malted barley
15 ozs crushed crystal malt
15 ozs flaked maize
1lb. 4ozs sugar

1ozs Target hops (1)
¾ ozs Challenger hops (2)
½ oz Northdown hops (3) for aroma
