so I was going to brew a Diablo 9L kit, but have just discovered that in my 30L fermenting bin there won't be enough liquid to cover my immersion heater.

what do others do, do I get a smaller bin and if so is a 10 or 15 litre best. think the heater needs a minimum if 18cm liquid covering it.

or just get a brew belt for these smaller kits and use my existing bin.

cheers

it's a brewferm Diablo kit.

house is quite cold when heating not on, maybe down to 16 degrees.

16 should be OK... fermentation is exothermic so will probably by 18 when going strong... 18 is the perfect wort temp.
