I have my first introduction to brewing with a Youngs WineBuddy which can be done in 7 days but can I leave it going longer, say a month or two?

In perfect conditions it can be fermented in 7 days, but that's not likely, so allow 2 weeks at least.
And then it needs time to mature to something drinkable

I always leave my wines in the FV for at least a month before racking and stabilising. Makes a better wine IMO.

I made a few of these when i first started making my own wine, they only finish in 7 days in summer when the temperature in the house is high.
The instructions said to let it ferment until it got to 995, if you don't have a hydrometer its worth getting one, they take the guess work out.

Thanks for the replies.

I think i'll look at tweaking the brew as I've not got it yet. I've read a lot of people using Aldi juices so I'll check it out

I bought a 7 day wine buddy kit and it was undrinkable from a taste perspective. It fermented fine, cleared fine, no taint or anything. It was just rubbish.

I've found the best 7 day kit to be the Solomon Grundy kits, although I take about 2 weeks to make it, best to be patient and not rush.
Each one has come out perfect every time, everyone who's tried some can't believe its home brew

another one here for the solomon grundy. Did a rose at the start of the year (platinum) and its near enough all gone!

Is that the gold or platinum SD kits?

It's the fruit ones, I do them for SWMBO, I've done the peach, strawberry, apricot and cherry. All been fantastic :drink:
