5L FV for 5L batches

Hi all,
I am looking to do the 5L simple all grain and am looking for a suitable FV. This one from MM says "perfect for 5L batches", but also says "Volume: 5L filled to brim". I would have thought I need more space for a 5L batch to avoid a mess coming out of the airlock, but I guess people use 5L demijohns etc, so maybe it would be ok. Can anyone offer any advice on the size of FV required?

I would go for the 10L one they do for not much more money, you'd have plenty of room for a big krausen, you'll need the extra room if you ever use kveik.

There are many foods that come in 10-20L tubs when they're bought in catering quantities. Food grade and often free for the asking if you try your local takeaways and restaurants.

We get these for bird feeders in the garden:

They hold 8 or 9 litres all in, and 5l fits in nicely. It's food grade plastic (knife and fork symbol on both lid and tub) and you can pick them up in your local Wilko.

Plus, it's always nice to feed the birds.
