50th anniversary has recently passed.

BBC History Extra have an excellent interview with historian Diarmaid Ferriter on the lead-up, consequences and effects of the event.
Well worth a listen to if you are interested in recent British/Irish history.

Just listened to the pod cast 👍
Hope you enjoyed it (or found it educational).
I like how he runs parallels with Bloody Sunday in Dublin, during the War of Independence.
Also the way he puts the Civil Rights marches into their international context.
