Going to start Brewferm Tarwebier tonight which makes 15L. Are there any problems brewing this in a 23L FV? I have read somewhere that better results are obtained if the FV is full? I can pick up a 15L FV from my LHBS but am I wasting my money? :wha:

Your views would be appreciated.

23l is perfect. Brewferms can sometimes get a bit enthusiastic at the start and the extra headspace is worth having!

So long as you keep it "sealed" there is no problem, the CO2 from the beer fills the space (diluting and pushing out the air) so it really doesn't matter until you open it. Then you will have more air (so more O2) getting in and potentially affecting your beer than with a smaller FV.

Nothing really to worry about though, gerrit brewed!!
