Another battle of the big boys! I've tried to like Orval a number of times but it's just not for me, and Chimay Blue is another beaut so that's where my vote's gone.

Likewise, not what I expected at all.
Orval is in my opinion a much better beer, but I suppose I can understand why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, whereas Chimay is a bit of a crowd pleaser. Be a shame to lose Orval in the first round though

Tough one for me too. I enjoy both beers. Orval takes it for me though. I remember the first time I had it in a bar in Ninove, when a local chap wouldn't let me leave the bar without trying it! There was uproar because the bar tender couldn't find the correct glass!

Its not looking the way i thought either. But it is early days, and that is a deficit to come back from.

And i love Orval.......

But sometimes the draw is just not on your side......

I might go and get a bottle of Chimay Blue from the garage and double check I'm not missing something

Really tough choice as they're both excellent beers.
Chimay Blue gets my vote.

This is an interesting one. Whilst both are fantastic beers, Orval and Chimay are the least best out of the Trappist beers IMHO. Given the choice I'd probably choose Chimay over Orval.
