Just got my 1st ever brew on whilst my little girl was at pre school.
All went well i think, it was a burton strong bitter kit, i put half spray malt and sugar well i put 500g malt and 700g sugar as that was in a bag that i had opened. mixed really well and took readings several times and it was 1060 which seems high, the temp was showing about 70f though so is it because the hydrometer is set to 60 f. that the reading is out?. cheers GARY
