I'm in the middle of converting my 70litre stock pot into a boiler :)
After my tinkering I'm nearly there, the only trouble is the leaking issue!
I used two elements from the Tesco kettles. These leaked to start with as the SS is thinner than the plastic buckets. Solved this with an o ring on the outside.
However I'm now getting leaky tap isses
I'm using a 15mm ball valve compression tap through a filed out tank connector. Because the tank connector is flat against a round surface I'm getting a leak. Not much of one but I reckon a couple of plastic washers will do the trick.
But what washers and from where? They will need to be food grade and able to withstand 100C+
Any ideas?
thanks
