I've recently recieved this from Ross at Craftbrewer along with one of my favourites for strong ales-Thames Valley.
Has anyone used this one before(1026)? I'm quite excited about it. I think it'll be tried out on my Orc Slayer first. I have a good idea how OS tastes with various yeasts so i'm eager to find out how British cask performs and what the taste characteristics are like.
Thames Valley is probably my favourite yeast for strong ales. It has a more complex flavour than 1968 ESB and seems to suit the NZ hops i use more than ESB.
I'll be using my normal method as shown in my liquid yeast 'how to'. I'm keen on getting some agar and getting some slants made up. I seem to be struggling to find agar here though. :hmm:
