£5 wasted

yesterday went to wilkinsons to get a new fv to use for bottling, but they were out of stock.so got my eye on a 25lt
food grade swing bin so thought why not.

got home fitted a new tap,sterilised, and started to syphon 23lts of my best beer into it. , only to find it only holds 21.5lt :wha:

they must class the swing lid as part of the volume,never mind you live and learn.

Well if that were me I'd syphon the first 1.5l into a jug and then drink it while syphoning the rest...

Yes sure but you can do that next time. I mean it's not £5 wasted.
