Well the day finally arrived, I did my first all grain, biab in my 50 litre pot from brewbuilder and induction hob, just a simple stout recipe from the camra brewing book.

Nice set up, I too am interested in the induction hob, was thinking of getting a gas burner to take my brewing outside / to the garage but that looks worth considering ( going to look it up now).

Hope your beer turns out great.

Edit: having tested my brew pot (with a magnet) it is not induction compatible.

What pot do you need for use on an induction hob?

Cheers

Clint

Induction hobs only work with pots and pans that contain ferrous metal in the base. To check if your pans will work, hold a magnet next to the pan base; if it attracts, the pan will work on induction.

Otherwise, these seem to be the ones; https://www.brewbuilder.co.uk/mk2-high-end-brew-pot.html

I was interested in getting it set up so I could run a 12v pump to recirculate the hot wort with a pipe to below the liquid level (to stop oxygenation?) as a type of sparge/RIMS set up to give nice clear wort.

The thing I cannot get my head around is how to control the induction hob temperature with a PID?
