Just finished brewing my second 30 bottle batch of californian connoisseur Sav Blanc and it's turned out dryer than Gandhi's flip flops. Not a happy bunny.

Hi all Just wondering how you all go about cleaning and sterilising your wine bottles prior to bottling? Got 120 bottles that need doing tomorrow. Easiest way of doing it would be best as I'm a lazy person. Cheers

Hi all. I currently use a very basic syphon. Basically a 9m hose and with plastic piping and a raised inlet. I'm finding it a real pain in the **** standing there for 15 minutes. Surely there must be something out thee a bit better. Cheers in advance

Would love to use the sponsors but.... That Ballihoo stuff is shockingly expensive and dreadful quality. When I say dreadful I mean shocking - steer well clear. Hopefully this won't get removed - or worse me :-)

Thanks you so much for this. It makes complete sense. So to sum it up it's basically exactly the same as any allotment produce. I think everything I grow on my allotment works out expensive at best bloody expensive at worse. I dread to think how much each egg from my chickens cost! But...
