Help to find a washer for a leaking tap

thanks I'll probably need to go down this path by the looks of it. I had thought it would need to be fairly perfect rather than my 50p effort but if I can get away with that I’ll give it a go.

Help to find a washer for a leaking tap

hi Fil thanks very much for the offer it is kind of you but it would be a shame to basically waste one full font for the sake of one washer as I wouldn't have any use for it afterwards. You could get more than a tenner for it too if you stick it on ebay. One thing though has your carling tap got...

    It's foraging weekend!!!

I was given a large amount of damsons near the end of Aug they were good to go a bit earlier than expected. Also last year wasps got hold of that tree and munched the lot of it before we got a chance to harvest it. I also went out about the same time and picked out loads of brambles but from the...

Help to find a washer for a leaking tap

hi thanks for the reply, sadly the tap did not have any manufacturing info on it and I couldn't find anything on it appart from carling info. I did try and google to find out but I couldn't find out who made them for them. As a last resort I could drop them an e-mail but it's a bit of a long shot.

Setting up my gas supply to Cornelius kegs

I did have the same regulator as you on my setup and I started off using JG fittings on the QD side. I found it to be less than reliable as in it worked most of the time but the slightest kink in the line and I could hear the gas escaping at the disconnect. I replaced this for a barb and a...

Help to find a washer for a leaking tap

Hi All, I need a little bit of help replacing possibly the most frustrating little washer I have ever encountered. It’s causing a leak in my kegerator at the tap and it’s because this washer is just worn out. I have tried finding replacements but I just can’t get one that will do the job...

co2 supply in Glasgow / Edinburgh

I was looking for a smaller cylinder that would fit in my kegerator when I called express fuels. They said they did have the smaller cylinders but they do not lease them out to homebrewers as they are apparently specificaly designed for use in machines of some kind. I did explain why I had a...

    Owning pub CO2 cylinders

out of interest and noticing you are also from Glasgow where do you get your gas from? Thanks for the info I honestly didn’t think it made that much of a difference. As normal I was looking into the most cost effective way of filling my cylinder. I was aware of the different options but not...

    Owning pub CO2 cylinders

I would assume it's not due to where it's coming from. I had thought that it makes little difference but I could be wrong.

    first time kegerator build

So after a few years of always bottling my home brew I was getting fairly bored with cleaning out multiple bottles each time. After toying with the idea of a king keg I decided to spend a bit more and go for a Cornelius keg. It then snow balled a bit and I decided to build a kegerator. This was...

    Owning pub CO2 cylinders

I ordered one frome here (I can't post links yet so hope you can google this) gascylindersuk they have a link on the left of their site for cylinder sales. they will post it empty to Scotland then it cost me £5 to get it refilled at the local fire extinguisher place. The above was about the...

Help with a beer tap & tower

nice one Darcey thank you for your reply. I may well just block the cooling lines and tuck them away in that case as they are not taking up that much space to cause any problems. I'll look into the converter rather than replacing the line. I think the pipe is cleanable where it is at the moment...

    Asda Apple Cider

sorry going from memory here but I am sure the stuff I got from lidl had an estimate for the amount of sugar on the carton. Im fairly sure it was all in German too, it was a few years ago that I did this so sorry I could be wrong.

    Asda Apple Cider

I made something similar using lidl cloudy apple juice a few years back. I added more sugar than I needed and the stuff was rocket fule I made it far too strong. I tried again and with less sugar it worked out fairly well. I have also tried this with a little bit of honey before too and that is...
