Barreled my Coopers stout, left for two weeks to carbonate, just drew some off to check it, and no pressure in barrel! Think the problem was the co2 injector/valve, have sorted that, but just wondered if I could prime the stout for a second time :wha:

Just had the same problem, bought mine from Hop and Grape, they told me they had had a number of problems with these recently. They arranged for mine to be collected by courier, cannot fault their customer service.

Going to brew my coopers kit later today, was going to use to use 1kg DME and 500g of molasses, wondering if I should cut down on the molasses?

Tried it with tap water at 20c, 993 or there abouts, bought a new one from Wilkinsons and smack on 1000. Anyone coming back to home brewing after a long lay off like me, might be worth checking theirs? :!:

The temp of the brew was 21, and just cold water from the tap. Dont know what temp its calirated for, just an old boots beer hydrometer, could be 25 years old.

Just returned to home brewing again after 20 years, decided to to make the Festival Landlords Finest.
