    First AG (BIAB method)

All went well (I think) with my first AG brew. FV cooling in the bath now. :thumb: I don't know what I was so worried about. Sorry, no pics as no batteries in camera and I didn't want to delay brewing to get some! Cheers for your advice. :drink:

    First AG (BIAB method)

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply to questions Wez. :thumb: I don't have an immersion cooler, I was just going to allow it to cool naturally. I don't have a hop strainer so I will use the bag. One thing I can't really get my head round is the lack of sparging. Do I need to adapt...

Please help - campden tablets (or lack of)

Thanks for your advice Aleman and Wez. The mains water here doesn't have a particularly strong odour of clorine, so hopefully I'll be ok. I'll be sure to use campden tablets next time. Thanks again. :D

Please help - campden tablets (or lack of)

Hi, I am new to the forum and to home brew. I have just started fermenting my first brew (Woodforde's Admiral's Reserve). I also have two demi's of wine from kits on the go. The problem is, I have used water straight from the tap in all three brews. I didn't know about campden tablets - they...
