What are you drinking tonight 2024.

These were on offer in Tesco, seemed a shame not to add them to my collection. I tried the Lasanta many years ago (before the silly looking rebranding), tasted very different then, it's much nicer now. The triple cask is really my kinda whiskey, the bourbon cask takes heavy precedence over...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

My cask light ale is just a couple of days short of the four week 'sweet spot' (so I've heard, this is my first time ever doing cask beer!) so I thought I'd have a few. Hugely impressed, there definitely is a noticeable difference between this, kegged and bottled (I did two batches of 6...

    Sediment

I regularly sacrifice the last inch or so in the bottle, a little extreme perhaps, but I tend to be quite sensitive to the taste that sediment imparts into beer and it makes me gag.

    Tesco Clubcard whiskey offers

They've got a couple of Glenmorangie on offer at the moment, can't go wrong with that when's it's on the cheap!

    Christmas music (you hate)

Possibly the worst Christmas song ever, actually, never mind Christmas...or the song part...just the very concept of everything in this video should be considered an injustice against humanity...

    Show us your dog

Rant on Rod! I really don't think people are going to take much more of this nonsense, again a little off topic, but all the guff about 'non crime hate incidents' floating about is a little incendiary. Nine year old kids being grilled by the old bill over calling their classmates...

[Poll added 15 November] Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

I'll admit my ignorance on the issue, but from what little I've seen of the man, he seems like a poser/poseur however you want to say it, Paul is a braggart and a nincompoop.

[Poll added 15 November] Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

I can't stand boxing, any combat/blood sports in fact, make me feel a little sick. Buuuut... Jake Paul Vs Mike Tyson...seriously?...Jake Paul is a hipster doofus, a dandy fop of the modern era, Tyson will annihilate him in moments. Even as an old fella, not a shadow of his former self, Tyson...

    Show us your dog

I've been reading about this in the news all day, it would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous. I don't feel safe around dogs (I'm white, so I'm not suggesting any racial bias), I don't put that down to the inherent prejudice of the average canine, rather a combination of irresponsible dog...

    Kveik Yeast

I've been using Kveik Hornindal (from Cross My Loof) in every beer I've brewed for a little over a year and I swear by it. I pretty much only brew light/pale ales nowadays and it gives the most amazing subtle tropical fruit flavours to the finished beer without being overwhelming or cloying...

    Homebrew has defeated me :(

Do we know if he added the obligatory kilo (or however much it may be for the specific kit) of sugar before fermenting? It may well be a silly question, but looking through the thread so far, it hasn't been explicitly stated at any point other than an implication covered by the statement...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

"You can drink your fancy wines, you can drink them by the flagon, but the the only brew for the brave and troooo..." Comes from Tesco on the cheap...lovely 🤩

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I haven't had claret in a while, this is rather nice, decent body and a nice lasting aftertaste.
