Beer gun v Counter pressure bottle filler

Ok this is the easiest design for one that I have found and will definitly attempt to make onve my beer is ready. Just need to figure out what tyre valve I need to attach to the air needle. Wont be using the copper pipe, just a normal bottler. Just hope it works with a pressure keg

Beer gun v Counter pressure bottle filler

That looks very good and cost effective, exactly my cup of tea. Just wondering though do you not need a rubber stopper at the top of the bottle in order to counter pressure properly? Also what about purging the o2 out of the bottle. If you havent got access to a blichmann type thing could you...

This is exactly the dilema I have. I want to make a few batches over the next month or two so I do not have to worry about making any over the summer while I get on do some work in the house. The only place I have to store them is the cupboards in the shedb but should actually get a "summer"...

    Whats the difference in brewing..

So with extract do you get the variety that you do with grain ( I appreciate it will be slightly less). If for example I wanted to follow a pils recipe, could I with extract? Also is it, cost wise, less than kit brewing if you are doing all the mash yourself? Taking away the initial costs of...

The right temp for lager....how to?

Ok so I am now close to starting my brew after reading for what seems like a thousand hours, lol. Wanted to ask a quick question about lager fermentation. Where I intend on brewing has a min/max temp of between 21-23c. Obviously lager fermentation needs a cooler temeprature and I have no...

Hi everyone. Am still learning before I attempt my first batch so please bare with me. I have read that if I bottle condition my brew I will need to give it a couple of weeks (until the bottle is hard) somewhere warm and then take to the fridge (somewhere cold) to stop everything in its...

Force carbonating into bottles....an alternative thought

I assume it does as it says it "equalises the pressure" Here is a quote from the description It also comes with a unique Bottling Transfer System that equalises the pressure and allows you to bottle up your brew quickly without exposing it to any bugs. It even comes with 6 re-usable bottles to...

Force carbonating into bottles....an alternative thought

Yes I agree with everything you say, i am convinced and have no issues with that. But I need to do this as I said to make a point to the others. For example if I had to take the bottles with me somewhere the sediment would move around (not practical) Also a couple of the guys are "we only...
