    yea the sachets are 5g so maybe i will just get 3 sachets and rehydrate them, 40g seems ridiculous using 5g sachets

    Hey, I'm brewing a 15l batch of mead and the recipe says to use 40g of champagne or mead yeast, does this seem like a lot? It also says to use yeast extract as a nutrient and zinc fortified yeast as nutrient (which i cant find). Any suggestions on what to use?

    Broken Hydrometer on Brew Day

    Helo, I am doing my second ever brew, doing an AG Mild. I have the mash in and will be boiling in the next hour or so. But as I was clearing up, disaster, I droped my hydrometer and it broke. Any suggestions, there are no brew shops near me open and no home brewers I can get a hold of.

    Great, thanks for advice, ill have nice beer early in the new year hopfully. I am just going to use a basic siphon with a tap on it, but maybe get somthing better in the future

    First Ever Bottling

    My first ever beer is ready for the bottle tomorrow, it's an all grain IPA that I just took from a few different recipes. Today was its last day dry hoping with fuggle hops. Was going to just put a teaspoon or half of brown demerera sugar in each bottle, any suggestions?

    The wort wasn't hot, maybe 30 c at most, My fermentation was also vigourous the 1st day and then slowed way down

    I used 3.5 kg of malt, to around 15 Liters water(3kg of pale malt & .5 of crystal) I mashed for 1 hour and then sparged about 2 liters

    Hey, ive just started home brew. My first batchs OG was only 1.028 and I got the FG at 1.006 so it's a pretty low ABV. I think I added too much mineral water to the wort before fermentation. Any advice for the future? :wha:

    Hello, I have just started home brewing, my 1st batch is almost finished, I've started with all grain brewing and built my own kit. Ive made a few mistakes on my first batch so I thought I would join a forum to ask a few questions.
