    many thanks sounds quite simple if i wanted to make a boiler is the average fermenting bin big enough for the task? and i assume that 6 gallons will evaporate down to 5 gallons is this right?

    sloe gin

    started my first sloe gin yesterday equal parts gin sloes and sugar cant wait for xmas to drink some i love the stuff but never had a chancce to make it till now just moved into a rural area and sloes are abundent so i have just about filled a demijon :party:

    just started my third turbo cider this time all i added to the juice was one and a half teaspoons of citric acid and a sachet of cider yeast O.G was 1052 straight from the carton so i hope to get a a.b.v of 6.9 the first one was 6.9 and the second 7.4 the later being to much and not as nice as...

    i have done a couple of turbo ciders now but only in demijon's now i want to make 25 litres at a time as i add one teaspoon of citric to mine do i then have to add 5 teaspoons to 25 litres? :wha: i fint this makes it quite crisp

    ok so i started drinking my second batch of nelsons revenge (woodfordes) on Saturday night cant seem to get it to completely clear for some reason anyway i had 9 bottles and Jesus h christ was i mullered think i'll make some more of this :drunk:

    well i just tried my second batch of woodfordes nelsons revenge the first didn't clear to well so i used fining's on this batch and well i have to say it definitely lacks body the initial taste is quite full on then it just fades away bit of a disappointment but its all trial and error i will...

    bottled my second batch of turbo cider this morning o.g was 1058 and f.g was 1002 makes it 7.4 a.b.v cant wait to see what it tastes like i'm more of an ale drinker but i dont mind the odd cider luckily the wife dont drink ale so i drink her cider if i'm waiting for an ale to finish :drunk:

    bottled my first turbo cider

    just lef it in demijon till it fermented out and cleared about 6 days then straight into bottle with teaspoon of sugar then i just hold it up to the light and when its crystal clear its ready about 5 days i make mine for the wife although i do have a couple :cheers:
