Yes, that would be great - I’m going to start with the 2.75KW but other stats should be the same. Thanks!

@PilloryBrewingCo. @Mash Monster my Brew Tank arrived this week! Have you had any luck with Brewfather equipment profiles? It would be great if you could share one to try out. Many thanks!

Elderflower season - any tried & tested session-strength recipes?

Afternoon all, I brewed a low-ABV (2.8%) elderflower ale this time last year. I found it tasty but a bit thin, so was wondering if anyone had a go-to recipe for something around 4.5% that they have had success with. I used to love Badger Golden Champion, so something along those lines would be...

    Dry hop?

I'm a great fan of Challenger, but it doesn't add much to the nose - dry hop if you want a hoppier aroma, but I often use the Challenger/EKG combination and it works for flavour.

BIGGEST Balls up to date!, what’s your biggest fail?

I used to use a small wooden table to put the Brewzilla on - turns out that the legs were too close to the middle to bear the weight of a full kettle that was slightly off-centre. 25L of water at 55ºC came tumbling (?) out, and now the Brewzilla is slightly ovoid. Luckily I brew outside so it...

    Overnight mash on a grainfather?

I've used the same approach as @stripeyjoe mentioned, mainly to get a head start on a double brew-day. I ran to mash out and then wrapped in a duvet & some other sheets. It had lost about 7º over the 8 hours I left it.

    What did you brew today?

A kveik golden ale with Challenger, Goldings, Styrian Bobek and dry-hopped with Citra and Mandarina Bavaria. I've turned it up to 38ºC to try and get some real orange-y flavours to sit with the dry hops.

    Hitchcraft Brewdays

The year's silence was not due to giving it up or getting disheartened - quite the opposite. Next brew will be number 28!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I bought it in Auchan in Calais last year, unfortunately haven’t seen it over this side of the channel. It was similar to a tripel but with a bit of a thicker body, acidic tones and a more complex, acid-fruit aftertaste. At a guess, I’d say it achieved the body through a greater malt to invert...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Last night was a Jenlain Bière de Garde Ambrée, followed by a palate-freshening Low ABV elderflower pale I made last spring.

What should I brew this weekend?

Hi all, Yes, it's a very open question! If you have a whole load of ingredients - plenty of malt, yeast and hops - what is your go-to brew if you suddenly have a day spare? Why is that? I've got a big sack each of pilsner and pale malts, along with crystal, chocolate and black. Most of CML's...

    Hitchcraft Brewdays

Thanks! A lucky 'we need more fridge space' conversation with the family has yielded another fermentation chamber, so that'll double the output.

    2. I Wanna Saaz You Up Marston Mystery Joined by a fellow neophyte, we named this after the village of our youth (nothing to do with some other similarly named, beer-related corporation!). My first order of brewing ingredients was Maris Otter malt and three hops - Challenger and Goldings used...

    Hitchcraft Brewdays

1: All The Gear And No Idea It went like this: August 1995: Made a kit brew using Dad's equipment that hadn't been used for years. It was edible, but that was it. August 2022: Summer holiday in the middle Rhine valley, lots of Kölsch drunk. 'Can I get this at home?' I wondered. Not really. Not...

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

I’m the lucky buyer - unfortunately I bid before I saw it on here! I hope I can produce a couple of brews for Jezbrews to sample soon.
